This session considers the global economy’s prospects post-pandemic. The near-term outlook is good given the winding down of the pandemic, substantial pent-up demand and savings, and continued massive monetary and fiscal support. But there are threats to this optimism, including overvalued asset prices, prospects for higher inflation and interest rates, and heavier debt loads. The pandemic will also have some long-lasting impacts on how we live and work.
